One of the base leaders giving an orientation about or entire group. 30+ nations!!! Monday was the first organized day of our school. All of the DTSs and staff got together for breakfast and than immersed into over an hour of worship, it was a beautiful sight to see so many people from all over the world completely excited and joyful. No one needed to speak the same language to understand the emotions going on in the room. The picture above is one of the base leaders here named Ari (I will come back and fix that spelling if its wrong haha so many names to remember!) Everyone shouted out their home countries and he wrote it down. We ended up with 30 different nations on the board! It is incredible that there are so many people from all over the world and from ages of about 17-50+. There are also even complete families with kids. It is rocking my world to see such a variety of individuals all in the same pursuit. Over half the day was spent gathered as an entire base getting to know one another and creating family and than we split apart with our schools individually and had some intimate time with our smaller group who I will spending classes with and the outreach. It felt great to have everyone finally here and to start diving into the new adventure.

Matthew 14:22-32
"...22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

This was the scripture for the day. Remember in the hard times and in the middle of the storm to look towards Him and be strong and courageous. He will always grab your hand and pull you through if you are sinking.
